Dragon Quest Tact is a strategy RPG that sees you teaming up with some familiar monsters from this classic series. In true gacha style, you can train, customise, and expand your crew as you continue along on your quest, gradually making them unique to you. Basically, it’s shaping up to be a must-play for Dragon Quest and gacha fans.
Do we need to say anything more than ‘new Castlevania game’? Moonlight Rhapsody is a brand new mobile installment in the dark Gothic action-adventure series. Though we don’t know a whole lot about it, from the gameplay video we’ve seen it seems to have decent production values, and looks fairly similar to Symphony of the Night in terms of gameplay.
Though Moonlight Rhapsody is being developed for Chinese markets initially, we’re hopeful the game will head westwards soon after. Either way, it’s one to keep an eye on in 2021.
Vainglory developer Super Evil Megacorp is following up on the success of one of the biggest mobile MOBAs with Catalyst Black, a brand new type of shooter that’s designed to take advantage of our favourite platform.
One of mobile’s greatest assets is convenience, which makes sense given that the vast majority of us are playing in snatches whenever we get a chance. Catalyst Black is perfect for that, as it’s designed for drop in, drop out play. Shoot first, queue… well, never.
One of Glen’s most anticipated games of 2021 is a throwback to the ’90s, featuring the world’s favourite Bandicoot. Crash Bandicoot: On the Run is basically a mobile version of the series that you know and love, challenging you to slide, spin, and leap through familiar locations from the series’ history.
When not participating in some classic Crash gameplay, you might expand Coco’s Base. Because you can’t have a mobile game without a side of base building, apparently.
Taking place in between Diablo II and III, Diablo Immortal is a brand new and mobile exclusive entry in the series. It shares a visual style with Diablo III, along with many of the classes, so long-term players will feel right at home.
But it’s not simply a shrunken down version of III for mobile. No, this is a full on MMORPG that takes place in a persistent online world. You can bring your friends along for the ride, or make whole new ones with ease.
